9/10 Science assignment
Okay. This one's easy. All you gotta do is look at the diagram on page 92 and tell all you can about that element. Don't use tricky terms like "atomic number" or "mass". Tell everyone what's actually going on with that element. Click to leave a comment on this blog and tell me everything you know about the element you chose based on the numbers on the periodic table. Make the first word of you comment the name of the element. If you need help, call someone. Good luck.

Carbon has six protons, six electrons, and six neutrons. It's letter abbreviation is 'C'. The sum of the number of protons and nuetrons is approximate 12.011 (for an average cabron atom).

This element is solid
The name: gold
The atomis number: 79
The atomis mass: 196.97
The ionic charge: 3+ +
The name of the element I have chosen is "hydrogen." The symbol, which is a one- or two-letter abbreviation derived from the element's English or Latin name, for hydrogen is "H". The atomic number, which is equal to the number of protons in the nucleus, as well as the number of electrons in the electron cloud, of hydrogen is "1". The atomic mass, which is the weighted average of the masses of all the element's isotopes (atoms of an element that have different masses), of hydrogen is approximately "1.0079".

Silicon
"Si" is the two letter symbol of it that comes from English or Latin base. It has six protons in it's nucleus as well as six electrons in it's electron cloud. The weighted average of the masses of all the element's isotopes (Atomic Mass)is about 12.011. Rounding the atomic mass to the nearest whole number yields the mass number of the most common isotope.

Nitrogen:
Discovered by Daniel Rutherford in 1772, this element has an atomic number (the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom) of 7 and an atomic weight (the ratio of the average mass of atoms of an element weighs from a given source… in other words, different masses of the atoms) is 14.0067. And it’s symbol (how it is reconized on the piriotic table) is N.

Basically the 6 on top of the capital c is the number of electrons as well as protons in the nucleus. The giant C is the symbol in which the element stands for. The name below the giant letter is how I know what element it is. The number below the word is the weight of the element.

Element's common name:Carbon
abbreviation:C
Protons:6
Neutrons:6
Electrons:6
Rated average of the masses of all the ellement's isotopes:12.011
Iso defined:equal
Tope defined: place
Isotope: equal place
A symbol is a one or two letter abbreviation derived from the element's English or Latin name (C). The name is the element's common name (carbon). The Atomic number is equal to the number of protons in the nucleus, as well as the number of electrons in the electron cloud (6). The atomic mass is the weighted average of the masses of all the elements isotopes. Rounding the atomic mass to the nearest whole number yields the mass number of the most common isotope (12.011). And the mass number is the sum of the numbers of protons and neutrons in a specific isotope. (isotopes are atoms of an element that have different masses).
The element I choose is lead
the symbol for an element can be either a one or two leter abbreviateon. The symbol for lead is Pb.
The elements atomic number is the number of protons that are in the nucleus, and the number of electrons in the electron could.Lead's atomic number is 82
An elements atomic mass is the weighted average of the masses of the isotopes.Lead's atomic mass is 207.2
HELIUM-
The symbol is He, and its number is 2. The element category is 'noble gases', and its appearance is colorless. Its standard atomic weight is 4.0026. Helium has 2 electrons per shell. Helium was first discovered from a solar eclipse in 1868 by a French astonomer, Pierre Janssen, with Norman Lockyer who observed the same eclipse...Its boiling and melting points are the lowest in the elements...
Oxygen has an atomic number(the number of protons in an atoms nucleus) of 8. its atomic mass(weighted average of the masses of all the elements isotopes) is 15.999. oxygens symbol( what some random scientist long ago, most likely the scientist who discovered oxygen, even though i think that adam, the first adam, discovered oxygen first, decided oxygen should be represented as on the periodic table of elements) is O.
oxgen:
it has nine isotopes in its nucleus.
it is a gas.
it symbol is 0
it has 8 electrons and netrons.
hey i dont get it
